I'm currently siting in my living room, twenty minutes till midnight, chilling and listening to London Grammar. It's the perfect "I'm about to fall asleep, but I'm not ready to" kinda music. We've had some guests over for the weekend, and it's been a blast. I've been done with Spanish for the last few days, and it's been a major stress-relief. It's strange though, going through the days without the stress of wondering when homework is due and what-not. I think I'm transitioning well though, because I've gotten to where I can wake up without freaking out about how late I'm going to be for classes.
Lately, we've been enjoying our company these last few days. They hadn't been to South Carolina much before, so they hit up Myrtle Beach earlier this week, and then yesterday, I showed them around Charleston. We made it a day trip. I showed them the Market, we browsed art galleries, and went to the Charleston Museum. It was the first time I had ever been to the museum, and I was impressed! I was pretty skeptical at first, because it was kinda pricey to get in. But I was pleasantly surprised at everything they had. It explored the history of South Carolina, as well as rest of the world (because Charleston was a historic seaport, a long time ago, people would bring historic artifacts to keep them there). It was the first museum in the American colonies.
We ate at Hyman's for dinner. Although the food was good, I noticed this second time around, how small the portions were for such an expensive price. It's really a shame, because it's a fun place to go to, and the food really is delicious.
I really thought I'd be updating more that school is over, but I may have been getting caught up in the freedom I have now. It's really awesome. I'm eating more than I should, and I'm back to writing a lot more often. It really is invigorating to keep my fingers busy, my head in a state of daydream, and trying to find the words to communicate the feeling and the pictures accurately from my head onto the page in front of me. I'm really happy to be back into the groove of things! It feels right these days.
Blessings~
