It's Monday, but it does not feel like a typical Monday. Yes, I woke up exhausted, but I was happy and excited. I have a few days left of Spanish classes, and then I'm done with it forever! Of course, unless God plans on me using the language sometime in the future, I myself don't have plans on using it in the future. For a strange reason, it seemed important to my school for me to have four semesters of a language for my English major. I'm finishing my last semester up in this summer school, and I couldn't be more excited!
I have a lot of plans for my upcoming two and a half week summer vacation before the fall semester starts. I'm going to kick it off with a visit to Charleston with some friends the day after my final. They visited for a bit last weekend and gave us the prettiest housewarming gift! They gave us a taste of the Korean culture with their traditional silverware: chopsticks and spoons! The silverware was beautiful and such a thoughtful gift. They made sure to get enough for all the members of our family too!
Anyway, back to my plans. Next weekend is my twenty-first birthday! I hope to celebrate it big with my family and a few friends at a pizza place. It's complicated putting plans together for it though, because I know people are busy. I just hope everyone can make it.
And the following week, my brother John comes home from his missions trip! We got a letter from him the other day, and he seems like he's doing well. I'm pumped to hear about everything he's done and seen!
Hope you're having as a great of a start to your week as I am!
